How shipping is priced
Shipping remains quote-required until the package dimensions and weight, shipment origin, destination, delivery class, appointment, limited-access needs, unloading, building conditions, and insurance terms are known.
What the quote should state
The accepted quote should identify freight inclusion or exclusion, package count, estimated dimensions and weights when available, delivery service, accessorial charges, receiving responsibilities, inspection requirements, storage, and the claims process.
Prepare the delivery site
Confirm truck access, gate and parking restrictions, receiving hours, unloading labor, protected dry staging, elevator dimensions, stairs, corners, doorways, room or elevation sorting, and installer handoff before release.
Inspect before signing
Photograph each package, inspect corners and faces, count panels and hardware kits, note visible damage on the delivery receipt, preserve packaging, and follow the stated claim window.
